Zafer Küçükateş started his career in 1982 at TPAO as an Electronics Engineer. He worked as International Systems Group Manager at Türk Telekom between 1984-1998, and worked as ICO Global Communications Country Manager and CMEA Regional Manager between 1998-2001. Zafer Küçükateş, who started to work as Assistant General Manager at Vestel in 2001, still works as a consultant at the VESTEL CEO Office.
