TUYAD DISCUSSES DIGITAL & SPACE DEVELOPMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY ISSUES WITH WSSA IN DUBAI!

TUYAD President Hayrettin Özaydın held an important meeting with Bocar Ba, Advisor to the Board of Directors of the World Space Sustainability Association (WSSA) and CEO of SAMENA Telecommunications Council. During this meeting in Dubai, crucial topics such as digital transformation, space development, and global space sustainability were discussed. As a follow up, it was decided to establish future collaborations on behalf of our valued members in the telecommunications sector.

Following our successful events in Ankara and Istanbul, significant steps have now been taken to organize an even bigger and more comprehensive event in Dubai, in collaboration with WSSA. This initiative aims to support the development of Turkey’s electronics industry, with a focus on defense, satellite, and space technologies, extending its reach to the entire MENA region. This partnership will greatly contribute to Turkey’s advancements in the space and telecommunications fields, and would contribute to the pace of regional digital and space development.

WSSA is a key platform that seeks to ensure a unified and responsible stance in the global space ecosystem regarding space sustainability. The association promotes constructive discussions among its members and supports them by fostering knowledge-exchange on areas of common interest. WSSA’s areas of focus include space and terrestrial environment, space debris, space traffic, spectrum and frequency management, space security and safety, space asset manufacturing and quality control, space resource utilization, space law, and policy.
